In January 2007 I was commissioned to make art that will illustrate  with interpretations of classical pieces.

In order to document the project I meet with the violinist who plays the musical pieces to investigate the borders between music and visual art.

Looking for common ground between both disciplines, we find that there are equivalence softwares between music and graphic like Sonic Visualiser ( developed at the Centre for Digital Music at the University of London ), among others.

The paints involves the coupling of the these software-generated graphics and analyze sounds picked up by me, to transmit different sensations of effusivity.

SERIE COMPOSICIÓN INTERMEDIA.

En enero de 2007 recibí el encargo de crear una obra de arte para ilustrar la portada de un disco con interpretaciones de piezas clásicas.

Para documentar el proyecto, me reuní con el violinista que interpreta las piezas musicales para explorar los límites entre la música y las artes visuales.

Buscando puntos en común entre ambas disciplinas, descubrimos que existen programas informáticos equivalentes entre música y diseño gráfico, como Sonic Visualiser (desarrollado en el Centro de Música Digital de la Universidad de Londres), entre otros.

Las pinturas combinan estos gráficos generados por software con el análisis de sonidos captados por mí, para transmitir diferentes sensaciones de expresividad.
