María Viñas is a plastic artist who has developed a painting technique based on the superimposition of very fine glazes.
Numerous ancient disciplines have delved into the states, sensations and emotions produced by color in its innumerable vibrations. This use of color vibration as a trigger for sensations, in fact, is what is used for different purposes in chromotherapy, yoga or meditation.
These are, therefore, active and not passive works.
The artist, in addition to this alchemical interest in transforming matter, has also reflected throughout her production an interest in thread, sewing, embroidery and their symbolic load. Trying to review or keep alive that secret code that has historically been kept hidden in sewing, as one of the limited redoubts to which female artistic production has been relegated.
