Visual artist María Viñas received her degree in Fine arts from San Carlos University in Valencia (2000) with a specialization in painting / multimedia & audiovisual followed by a Masters degree from Barcelona´s Eina School ( 2003).
After receiving several national and international art awards from his student days so far ( BANCAIXA, ALDEASA, CAJA MADRID, LUCKY STRICKE BAR HONDA…) Viñas is currently living in Madrid where he combines her art work with creative direction, styling and teaching at the European Institute of Design.
María Viñas developed a painting technique overlapping glazes until achieving a rigid canvas which is currently being taught by professor J. Perdiguero at SUNY Oswego in New York.
Known as a risky artist, she has an immense desire to integrate artistic dynamics into conventional, everyday life, often picking projects which fit into other disciplines on the rise.
